There are a couple sites I have used that outline the weeks and what is typically happening neurologically during one of these wonder weeks. I don't think you'd need the whole book. This is a site I used which has matched up with several other sites - as I teach my students - always cross-reference your Internet information for the most accurate answers!! We are just entering week 8 today and my LO has been quite the handful the past couple days - extra clingy and crazy crying bouts for no reason!! But his brain is developing so that's the silver lining to the madness. We have been seeing his hands become more purposeful (moving them to his mouth to suck on fingers, etc) and more funny conversations with him which are some of the characteristics of development during this wonder week.
I purchased the book off amazon and love it. Not only does it give a break down of what happens to our kiddo's around these weeks but also gives great info about what exactly they are learning, cues to watch for, and how as a parent you can embrace it and 'help' them learn. It's a very quick read (I've been staying a chapter ahead), I would say 1 chapter is 5-6 pages. I know I would spend way more time searching for legit websites, reading, bookmarking/referencing back to, etc. then the time it took to read the book or flip it open quick to re-read. I really like that the book is not "this is what your child should be learning right now" kind of attitude. I found the advice to be very laid back.
