PSA: Triple Paste

There was a coupon for $2.50 off Triple Paste in last weekend's newspaper and Giant Food Stores has the gigantic tub on sale for $5 off making it $20.50 instead of almost $27.50.

If you haven't heard of or used Triple Paste before, its basically diaper rash magic. The absolute worst that Charlie could come up with didn't last more than one or two applications. Currently, we're dealing with post antibiotic poops every two hours or so burning his poor bum and this stuff has helped immensely. Its expensive, but it works and lasts forever.

Thanks. I'll put this in my memory bank. I've already bought Butt Paste and Burts Bees Diaper ointment. Its so hard to know whats best.

Its definitely not CD safe (it's as thick as spackle), but a liner works well to protect the dipe. :-)

Those two work as well, but this is the big guns. It's tag line is literally, "for when other creams fail." lol

Triple paste is a god send! I love it honestly some times I wonder how th poop gets through lol I pretty much calk his little butt crack!

Thanks! Tucking this away in the memory bank. Is it feasible before a rash might set in during the antibiotic scenario to coat the booty with aquaphor to preempt a rash?

We have only used triple paste and it's amazing. He doesn't get diaper rash too terribly bad but the few times he's had it, triple paste knocks it out in a day or two. Amazing stuff.

You can try, but in my experience, if they are pooping that much, a pre-emptive strike will only slow the rash down, not stop it completely. It's usually still a good idea, though.

On a day-to-day basis, a lot of moms I know use Vaseline (or something similar) to prevent rashes in general. Just dab a bit on after each diaper change. I believe it's meant to prevent chafing/irritation caused by wetness if you are unable to change them right away.
