Re: MoMs to be check in!
Pg with twins due Aug 29. Will find out sexes in April! These will be our first!
First, I'm sorry this check in is so late. Work has just sucked this week. Second, I'm sorry that none of the links above work!! I am so frustrated with my computer. I use google chrome as the default browser but for some reason, the 'link' button is always inactive in Chrome. Usually I create the check in at work using IE, but I've been too busy this week. So I tried tonight using IE on my own laptop and it still won't work. I'll try to make the most recent link(s) active at work tomorrow.
I give up for tonight.
Update: No real updates here. Have an OB appointment on Friday when we start rotating through the doctors in the practice. At our last u/s last week, my cervix had shortened again to 2.5 cm and I'm getting tired of no one but me thinking this is anything to be concerned about.
QOTW: The best day of this pregnancy was either the first u/s, when we found out we had not only a viable pg (previous one was ectopic), but also twins, OR the A/S when we found out just a few days before Christmas that both babies were healthy. I don't think I'll ever forget how happy/relieved I was leaving both of those appointments!
Layla 01.08.12
Chloe and Vivian 07.23.13
My Gang. Halloween 2013
QOTW: feeling both of them move all the time and being able to differentiate who is who. So cool!
No huge update here other then I failed my 1 hour glucose test yesterday and go in for the 3 hour tomorrow. I'm nervous my mom had GD with my youngest two sisters and now has type 2 diabetes.
Not sure if this is best part but it was a awesome moment. The time MH first felt a kick. These are our first so it was a great moment to share.
How can you tell who's who? My girls are spooning at every ultrasound and I can never be sure who I'm feeling. I start kick counts later this week and am really worried about identifying who I'm feeling!
Sorry you failed your 1 hour GTT. My dr doesn't even do the 1 hour, just goes straight to the 2 hour with a baseline fasting blood draw to start. Good luck tomorrow!
Hello! I would like to be added! I'm due with fraternal twins in September.
It's so hard to narrow down the best/most exciting moment! Getting my (1st ever!) BFP nearly brought me to tears, discovering that we are having twins made me feel blessed beyond measure, and seeing my little glowworms hearts beat/flicker for the first time was simply amazing. So excited to be joining you ladies!
We had a check up this week and finally got to hear the heartbeats. It was very cool. Our NT results could not have been better so that was a huge relief. And we scheduled our A/S for March 12th!
I think our biggest moment was our ultrasound at six weeks showing two perfect heartbeats. We were so nervous. Last time at that point the rates were very slow and we knew it wasn't going to last. This time was so amazing!
Update: Things have been going well. My OB is going to schedule my C-section for mid-March, though he expects that I'll go into labor before then. Baby A is still breech, so he figures it's a good idea to get it in the books.
QOTW: So many highlights - finding out we were expecting, finding out it was twins, seeing the heartbeats again and again when I was bleeding and terrified of a m/c...I could go on and on. It's been a rough time, but thankfully the babies are healthy and growing well.
TTC #1 since May 2010. BFP #1 - 5/31/10; m/c on 7/22/10
Started seeing RE in August 2011
5 IUIs: BFN; IVF #1 - Success! BFP - 7/25/12
My check in is pretty normal: doctor told me that if I make it to 38 weeks, they schedule either an induction or c-section depending on the babies.
so I might give birth in August (my birth month)
And my OB said I'm likely having didi twins.
Unexplained Infertility
After two Clomid cycles, three injectable IUI cycles, two IVFs, two miscarriages, and one lap surgery, IVF #2 has brought us our little boy!
TTC #2
After months of being postponed or cancelled, FET #1.3 (Natural FET) brought us twin girls!
Due August 15th DiDi Twins
The babies are each on one side of my stomach so if the kicks ate on the left its baby b and the right are baby a.
I am due with #3 and #4 for our family in September. Saw both on an ultrasound on Monday, heart beats were 168 and 162. Very excited. We are telling our 'big girls' and our families later this week!
Ive been sick but started on zofran, I think it's helping. Not much appetite but able to keep bland foods down and able to drink more fluids so that's good!
Good morning....I would like to be added. I am pregnant with triplets through IVF. I am technically due 9/11 but anticipate delivering sometime over the summer, hopefully sooner than later in the summer.
Thanks!!!!
Oh forgot to add....we will be finding out their genders. As of right now I am not on bedrest but have been told to anticipate it at some point. I meet with our MFM doctor at the end of the month and I see my regular Ob tonight. I was released from my RE 2 weeks ago. I am 10 weeks today. Morning sickness has been ok lately. It was pretty rough early on (4-7 weeks) although I had a good gagging session this morning while brushing my teeth.
Most exciting part so far was seeing each sac pop up from week to week. 4 weeks only 1 showed, 5th week all three lit up like Christmas trees, 6 weeks we had heartbeats!!!! Its been crazy, overwhelming and scary.
Good luck to everyone!!!!
Well, since the QOTW is pretty much my update this week... We found out on Friday that we are having a boy AND a girl! I am so thrilled. Exactly what I wanted! (I see you've already updated the list! SO exciting!)
Since the m/s finally is in the rear view mirror, things have been progressing well. I've been starting to put on a couple of pounds and starting to show which is exciting. But by far the most fun and exciting (to date) was our sex determination elective!
Waiting to hear from the rest of the family about receiving their sex reveal cards that I sent out. Once we do, I will open my registry back up (to public) so that H's family can get on and start buying things for my super early shower in 3 weeks. Pretty exciting I guess!
At my appointment 4 weeks ago, the OB measured me & when I asked the measurement, he told me and said "Maybe you'll have a 12-pound baby." He had obviously not even looked at my chart to see that we're having twins. Then, instead of talking to me about our most recent ultrasound (since we don't get feedback from an MFM at those appointments), he just asked me how it went. While I wanted to say, "I don't know; isn't it your job to tell me the results that are probably right there on my chart..?!" Instead, I just got through the rest of the appointment & got the heck out of there. I was so frustrated.
This week, I'm happy to report that we had a great OB appointment with the one doctor in the practice that I know personally - who gave us, by far, the most time and interaction we've had so far. We talked a lot about labor & delivery -- which hadn't been discussed with us at all yet, so I felt a sense of relief (and reality!) when DH & I left the appointment.
QOTW: I think the A/S was my most exciting moment, too. DH & DD were there with me, and it was so awesome to see that both of the babies were developing well (one had been in a much smaller sac from the beginning, so there had been some hesitancy on how the pregnancy would progress). Finding out their sex was also exciting, because it made the whole idea even more real to us.
24 weeks today Woo Hoo! Had my OB appt on Monday and took the 1 hour glucose test. I failed the 1 hour with my DD so I won't be shocked if I failed this one. My appts at my OB's office will now be every 2 weeks. At my last appt 3 weeks ago found out the 20 week A/S was good. Both babies are healthy and very close in size. Unfortunately I am really starting to feel pregnant - as in achey, tired, moody - but I know it's worth it and I'm very luck to have gotten so far without any complications.
QOTW: The call from the nurse at MFM telling me the amnio results for both boys were normal. I think that's the first time I felt like I could relax a little and focus on being happy and planning for their arrival. I also found out on the same call that both are boys - which was cool - but not as exciting as finding out they were healthy.
6 year old daughter
Fraternal boys born on May 11, 2013 at 36 weeks 4 days
Can you add me to the list?
I'm new+tothis. I'm due 10/7 with twins. We got pregnant from IVF so we knew twins were a possibility. We just saw the heartbeats!
The most exciting part thus far is obviously finding out we are having twins!
Update: On bed rest until I reach 32wks in April. Bed Rest sucks! However, my job has been wonderful and are allowing me to work at home, which is a huge help considering I won't have any leave for maternity leave otherwise. Had a fFn done at last MFM appt and it came back negative! AND...Today is V-Day!!!
What has been the best /most exciting moment of your pregnancy thus far? I have two, the first was the very first sonogram where I found out we were having twins...it was scary and shocking and exciting and overwhelming all at the same time. And the second was reaching today, considering all the complications I've had. Taking each week as a blessing!
Anyway update: I'm now on bedrest, so that is not what I wanted and really hard with a nearly 2 yo. I'm so glad to be over 28 wks now! Only 8 weeks to the ultimate 36 week goal : I started twice weekly NSTs late last week. So far it's all good.
QOTW: The best part of this pregnancy? It's been a super tough high risk pregnancy, so it's hard to pick something. I guess seeing the girls recover well from the laser surgery we had in december to correct the ttts. And making it past 28 weeks which was the surgeon's main concern.
TTC since May 2006. After 3 failed Clomid cycles, 2 failed Injectibles/IUIs, 2 failed IVFs and 1 failed FET, we moved on to adoption!
Last ditch FET resulted in BFP, and identical twin girls!
Update: had a growth ultrasound yesterday and Baby A is 2lb 13 oz and Baby B is 2lb 10 oz. Both are looking good!
I would say the best part of this pregnancy was telling our families it was twins. I was still reeling myself, but hearing how excited and shocked everyone was made it easier to take somehow and helped me to get excited about it.
Hello, this is my first time checking in...
I am expecting mo/di twin girls on June 20th. I will be 22 weeks along tomorrow. I had an appointment on Tuesday an everything looks fine so far.
Eva, born on 1/2/11
Celia and Lily, born on 5/17/13
i failed the 3 hour. I go Monday to meet with nurse to learn how to take blood sugars and go on a special diet.
Ugh, sorry to hear that. Hope the blood tests and the diet aren't too terrible.
