  • I use tinypic to upload my pictures then you can add them here using the [img] tag they provide.

You can use the <img src> tags they provide as well, but if you do, you'll need to click the HTML button at the top of the textbox window.

Hope that helps because I wanna see more doggie pictures! (beagles especially, because, well, I'm partial)

  • Here's Keala (the beagle) with her "brother" Bruce (the pug)
    image

Keala is 6.5, gonna be 7 in June (6/6/6, so yah she's a devil dog). She's a 13-inch so she's pretty tiny too, although since we've moved to CO, she's gotten a little chunky...

Your pupster is so cute! Is she just a little bigger since she's part lab because she looks pretty much full beagle to me!

  • That was a added benefit of her "boot camp" training. She wears a shock collar, but we hardly ever have to use it since she knows she has it on and sticks around. I have no idea how they trained her to do that, but I LOVE IT. We'll go hiking for hours and she usually stays within eye shot of us. Once she starts getting tired, she'll start getting farther and farther away, but never too far. We've only had a few incidents where she "almost" took off down a hill or something after something she smelled, but she's surprisingly well behaved. As long as she has her collar on. hahaha.

  • We might have to try a collar.  Daisy is our hunter and I swear when the nose is on the ears are off.  If she's yipping after a scent we can't even really get her to come inside.  And god forbid she sees a squirrel outside the window.  If she were any bigger I swear she's break through it.

  • For us, the collar has been a miracle. The nice thing about it too is that the remote works for up to 3 different dogs and if I remember correctly has a range of about half a mile, although I might be exaggerating that because I can't fully remember. She does look sometimes a little ridiculous with it on since she would have 3 different collars on at the same time (her normal one with her tags, a pinch collar that we just unhook from her leash, and then the shock collar), but she doesn't seem to care. The first couple times we had to use it, we felt soo bad, but they learn quickly and know exactly what it is and what it does so she listens pretty good when she's wearing it. I'll try and see if I can find the brand of the one we use and I'll send that your way!
