Fifths Disease?

Any experience with Fifths Disease? DCP thinks DS may have had this last week but his only symptom was the rash.

    I got it in middle school. I had a rash and my muscles and joints really hurt for a couple of days. That is the limit of my experience, as far as I know neither of my kids has gotten it but I know it has gone around their school.

    I don't want to alarm you but it can be very dangerous to pregnant women. I would call your pedi ASAP. Lucy had it last month and one of the first questions her pedi asked me was if I was pregnant.

    That's what I found out and this is why I am kind of freaking out Sad I called my OB and go for a blood test tomorrow to check for immunity.

    What were Lucy's symptoms? We don't even know for sure that Caelan had it...

    Fever. Lethargic. Trouble sleeping almost like she was in pain. Glassy eyes. Fussy and clingy. Just general malaise really. She did also have the rash but only very briefly.

    Hmm, Caelan didn't have any of that except the rash. It sounds miserable :( I guess I will just have to wait and see.
