38 weeksparanoid or should I be hospital bound?

Sorry if this is TMI but anybodys who's been pregnant knows it not all beautiful.
I had a doctors appointment yesterday and my doc told me I was at a one and my cervix is starting to thin and her head is down low. YAY! Last night my husband and I had sex and afterwards I wiped and I was wetter than usual and I noticed a white glob of goo, I soaked a few wads of toilet paper. I figured it was my mucus plug sense I hadn't noticed losing it before. Today I'm not noticing the baby moving as much, she still is moving its just not her usual ninja style kicking. This is my first baby so I'm trying not to worry about every little thing but I'm afraid I may have been leaking water last night. The closer is gets to my due date the more paranoid I seem to become. I'm home alone about 10 hours a day because my husband works so much so he'll have time off when she gets here. Any advice? Am I just being a paranoid first timmer?

    I say better safe than sorry.  Let your doctor know and she can decide if you are paranoid or not.  :-)

    I'm a FTM so I don't have alot of experience, but I am currently 38 weeks as well and have been having increase in liquid downstairs and my little one is moving, but its been a different type of movement lately.  I think the change in movement is usually because they don't have anywhere to move.  It used to feel like she was inside practicing gymnastics and karate and now its more just a big push her or sweep to the side.  I think they just end up all swaddled up inside and can't more as much.  As for the sex, recently when DH and I have sex I have had a lot of extra moisture as well, but everything has checked out ok when I visit the OB.

    It's probably just your body getting ready for what's to come.  I also have been losing a lot more discharge than before.  You would know if it was your water though.  It wouldn't stop and it would be enough to soak a sanitary napkin.  Hang in there.  Any day now.
