Baby gear pet peeve

There are so many items out there to make our lives with baby "easier." Still sometimes these things drive me crazy!

Case in point--baby wipes. I hate it that when I get to the mid/end of the box they are all soaked through and too wet. Drives me bananas that I have to dry off LO every time before I put on the diaper. Especially in the MOTN.

I second this.... in MOTN changes I won't even use a wipe if she just has peed. I'll let her air out a bit and touch to see if she is dry and put a new diaper on. I found the less I use wipes the less diaper rash she had. They irritate her skin anyways. I think I'm going to look into a different option.

Another pet peeve of mine is sizes in general. I think they should go by weight and height.

I'll go with the wipes, but for a different reason. Once you get down so far in the stack, you go to pull one out and you pick up the whole dam thing.nbsp; Then your stucking shaking the wipe loose from the container with one hand while keeping a hand on LO at the same time.nbsp; I can't tell you how many times I've flung that pack of wipes across the room in pure frustration.

I second this!!! I hate that! Or when you pull too many out and then feel like a magician pulling scarfs out of a hat......lol!
  • I agree with all of wipes issues!!! I also can't stand that every baby item I recieved that lights up, vibrates, etc. takes lots of giant batteries. Do you know how expensive batteries are?! And it gets worse the bigger the battery!

Haha this made me laugh, because I've done the exact same thing. We use cloth wipes mostly now, sooo much better.

I hate the baby gear being all over my house. But at any given time, the swing, bouncer, pack and play, and play mat have all saved my sanity. So I guess I'll just deal with it. Sigh.

    This.

I cant stand plastic lighty uppy noisy toys. For the batteries.... and because wooden old school toys dont magically all go off at once when you bump into the toy shelf and scare the crud out of you.

and, yes, the stupid crinkly wipe container. I got so many of those useless baby washcloths, that i think I might start using as cloth wipes.

Yes. I think it's ugly and I don't like it being sprawled out. BUT, SO puts it away and then when I need it I have to drag the bouncer out while holding P. Even more annoying.

Speaking of that its ugly, the bright colors. Can nothing blend into a house!? I finally found a swing that is cute. Greens and browns and tan, it's actually bearable. Most things are like every color of the rainbow. And primary colors. I hatehatehate when things are just yellow, red, and blue. Gah!

  • While bitching about baby gear being all over the house I just bought a high chair.
