Thought I would come out of the lurker world and into.
I have long history (just like everyone, I?m sure). More Clomid cycles than I care to remember (6/2009-10/2010), 2 cancelled IVF cycles due to poor response (1/2011-4/2011). Then moved on to DIA only to sit and wait and wait and wait (6/2011-8/2012)? Licensed for Foster / Adopt (9/2012), one placement that reunified after 8 weeks.
So, we decided that it?s now or never, we?re going to give DE IVF a shot! We are currently researching clinics and costs. It is so overwhelming. I?m hopeful that we can pursue a shared risk program starting this summer.
In the meantime, I?m working on shedding about 40 lbs and kicking my diet soda habit (so I?m one grouchy chick right now). Hoping to lean a lot from you ladies!
Re: Intro
Let me be the first to welcome you to the board.
I'm kicking the coffee/tea habit (we have FET on Thursday) and I'm bloody exhausted. But it's all for the good.

Hi!
Welcome to the board. I too have a long history which includes waiting for DIA for over a year. We made the decision to pull our profile after only being shown once to expectant parents and started exploring DE IVF. It's been a little strange to transition fom adoption to hoping to become pg. We are getting ready for our donors retrieval on Friday
I hear you on the overwhelmed feeling. We just take it one step at a time. We are also in a shared risk program, which I feel more comfortable about.
Oh, and I recently gave up coffee. It sucks!!!
Good luck in your researching!! Hope you are able to find a clinic you are comfortable with!!
DD conceived with no issues, but born at 33 weeks due to PPROM

9/2011-decided on domestic infant adoption 10/2011-signed with an agency and getting ready for homestudy
12-2012-after being with our agency over a year and only shown to EM once we decided to talk with RE about DEIVF. Thru a crazy sequence of events we decided to go for it and we picked a donor MUCH quicker than anticipated
1/13/2013-started lupron with anticipated transfer in mid Feb.
ER 2/15 resulted in 15 eggs/10M/6F with ICSI.
2/18 transferred 1-8cell and 1-9cell embie. Snuggle in little embies.
positive on HPT 6dp3dt. Could this really be IT?!?! Beta 14dp3dt=2440. U/S scheduled for 3/20.
Thanks for the warm welcome!
I spoke with someone from Shady Grove yesterday and liked the idea of the shared risk program (as much as I can "like" forking over that kind of cash).
Question for those in Shared Risk, 6 cycles seems like a lot, has anyone ever gone that many cycles and failed?
Also, any other programs you can recommend?
