How long would you wait?

How long would you wait before taking LO to the pedi for a cough and runny nose?

I am debating taking E in. She started coughing Thurs night. So it's almost been a week of this. It's not super bad. Kind of sporadic but productive when she does cough.   Boogery nose but not a constant stream.  She also cut two teeth this weekend and I suspect she's working on the two on the other side to match.

Thoughts?

    If she doesn't have a fever and no problems breathing, I wouldn't take her in yet.  I'd probably wait at least another week.  It could just be lingering but she's getting over it, or it could be partly due to the teething.

    Since the cough is productive and as long as she's not having trouble breathing I would wait it out a little longer. There's a cold going around here that has a cough that lingers up to 2 weeks. I caught it a while ago, and the cough is still lingering. It's a total pain in the arse, but I feel relatively fine other than this cough.

    This. It sounds like teething to me. Try to keep her a little elevated and run a humidifier in her room.

    For just a runny nose and normal cough?  I wouldn't bring my kid in to the doctor at all.

    This. Unless for some reason you thought it was allergy related, but not for a cold. They really can't do anything for that.

    This. With no fever we wouldn't go in at all.
