Not sure what else to do..my mother is crazy

Ok, I really don't know how many more times i need to have a talk with her but this is getting out of hand. FOR REAL. I swear its something new every week. After picking up LO at her house, i was talking about how I was excited for DS's Easter pictures. She just invited herself along. She said that she can't miss her grandbaby take his first easter pictures. I just shook my head in disbelief. DH was so ticked. She does this on a regular basis. Also, she recently sat DH and I down to ask us who the baby would go to if something would happen to one of us...ugh. We said that we didn't know and she was so mad about it. Her words, "I better get that baby because if I don't I will never see him and if he goes to Steve's family, he will never be taken care of properly."--RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM. Another thing, i showed up last week to pick up Lo after and no one was home. I banged on the door and waited outside for 20 minutes thinking that the car was in the garage. Once i finally got a hold of her, she told me she took the baby out to dinner! First off, she didn't ask...and secondly, I hadn't seen my little guy all day and i just wanted to cuddle him. No phone call or anything from her. As you can see, im furious. I have talked with her many times. This is just a handful of stuff..the list is a lot longer.

Wow. That's crazy. Since maybe the talks aren't working maybe you should show her instead of telling her. Why don't some grandmas understand boundries?

Unfortunately turning into a grandmother seems to make people crazy. I'm dealing with similar issues with my mom. I would suggest less visits and finding someone else to watch your LO if she can't respect you. Also speak up and let her know Easter pictures are for your lil family only. She needs boundaries.

Yikes... As far as the Easter pics are concerned, I would just tell her how important it is to have this "first" just your own little family. If she's upset, oh well. Sorry if that's harsh. Also, why would she get the baby if something happened to ONE of you... um... that's weird. Mommy or daddy should still be with baby...

I'm sorry you're having to deal with this. Grandmother's get crazed I guess.
