So now that my car officially is too embarrassing to drive (see twatwaffle post) I'm going to expedite getting a new one. My current car has leather seats, and it for some reason doesn't have the LATCH system. P's car seat doesn't go in tight enough it seems, and then because of the leather it slides around way too much. So now I refuse to let him in my car.
Now, is this just because I don't have LATCH, or is this a common occurance with leather?
*Also, I have one of those seat protector things that goes underneath, to try to keep it in place with the stickier side. Doesn't work still!
Re: Leather seats and car seat
What was that? Was it ...tight?
Good and tight? You worry me sometimes
FI has leather ssays and no latch system in his car and when we went to get the carseat installed and the lady put (ok this is going to be a bad explanation) the sticky mat things that you put inside cabinets in your kitchen and then the car seat on top and as PP suggested put your knee and all your weight on the base and pull tight. That thing will not move. But if it means you get a car maybe you should forget all of our advice
