The twins have been home for 5 nights now and we're trying to get a good place for them to sleep figured out. We have pack n plays beside our bed but neither one seems content in them to sleep well, even when swaddled. Last night I finally moved their RNPs into our room and they calmed right down and slept great. I worry about SIDS though with doing this. Is it safe for them to sleep in at night? Any other suggestions for getting them to sleep?

Re: RnP for sleeping at night?
Our girls slept in these for both naps and at night for the 1st 2 months, then we transitioned them to being just their nighttime beds. We are currently trying to transition to cribs, but they sleep fantastically in the RnP, it's hard to go from STTN to up 3-4 times! I've never heard of an increased risk for SIDS. The only thing I would be aware of is when they start rolling over/moving around. I'm praying we're completely transitioned out of them by that point!
Edited: Of course, for the first few weeks I hardly slept at all because I was always checking on them, but I think I would have done this regardless of where they were sleeping!
7/30/12 - B/G twins born at 33w4d due to PPROM
This was actually a topic at our baby care class. One of the trainers called the AAP and specifically asked about the RnPs. She was told they are not recommended because they do not meet the CPSC standards (firm mattress). However, I spoke with the NP at my pediatrician's office about it. Her stance: It's like a bouncy chair or swing, which many parents use to help their babies sleep. But, she's of the "whatever you have to do to help the baby sleep" camp.
My plan was always PnPs for night and RnPs for daytime naps. For the first six weeks, we used them at night and they were the only things that helped our little guys sleep. At two months, I freaked because they were slouching so much in them and we were still swaddling (so it was hard to strap them in). We then moved them to PnPs and they've been doing well in there. I still use the RnPs for daytime naps, but I constantly watch them in person or on a video monitor. FWIW, I'm completely paranoid about everything, so don't let my own anxiety rub off on you

Boy/girl twins born at 37w1d and 37w2d
I have been set up in the living room with them in RnPs since they came home from the hospital when they were 3 days old... I have yet to sleep in my bed yet, so sad
but we left our room for DH to sleep since he is back at work.
I would like for them to transition to their cribs but they just scream and carry on with every attempt I have made... as long as we're getting sleep and they are happy and sleeping, we are going to stick with them.
All this.

My girls are 10 weeks and sleep in theirs for naps and nighttime. They nap great and only wake-up once between 9 - 9 (usually around 4).
