I am 32 weeks, measuring 36 consistently and I found that in the last week and a bit the movements have changed greatly. She used to power kick all day now she is running out of room and her movements are almost muffled. I can feel her move, but it's more in a push the belly out of way movement. I can watch my belly and she her moving all around but it's less about feeling and more about watching now! It's pretty normal this late.
I would call into L&D and see what they think. This happened to me less than a week before Elijah was born, I couldn't get a kick out of him to save my life. As soon as I was hooked up to the monitors, he went crazy! I almost felt silly, but really, knowing he was fine was worth it! Better safe, than sorry!
LOL its funny u say that cause I got to go to the doctor 2x a week to get a non stress test, Next one is Thrusday, And it feels like he moves at least 3x more when we are there hocked up then when we are home. Its werid I think he knows and hes a ham when we're there
That happened to me when I was around 34-36 weeks, if it happens again, eat or drink something really sugary and see if that works - apple juice and/or a candy bar.
Also, he might have been sleeping.
I know our minds wander to the worst but it's best to remain as calm as possible.

I experience this somedays. On Monday I hardly felt LO move and I went to my reg 2 week appt and my MW said LO was facing my spine and so I just wasn't able to feel her that much. I heard her hb and all is well.
Re: No real kicking today
I'm sure you are fine. The more further along you are the less room they have in there to move. It's also common to have a quieter day.
Try drinking a glass of ice water and laying on your side. That usually does the trick for me!
So sweet of him to soothe your fears haha Glad you feel better
