Prayers before meals?

My girls eat 3 meals a day, and take 3 bottles, is it too soon to start doing a little prayer with them before each meal?

Does anyone do this?

FYI, I've been saying a nighttime prayer to them for over a month or two now.

I think it is never too early.

FWIW, we do a normal prayer before food and my son also sings a song he learned at preschool this year that's pretty cute. To the tune of Mary had a little lamb:

Thank you Jesus for our food, for our food, for our food, Thank you Jesus for our food, Thank You Jesus.

Dh and I have prayed together for our food since we started dating, so it was just something DD has grown up with. Although DS sometimes gets fed during, if our dinner is later than he likes, but he'll get something out of it eventually.

Good post. I'd been wondering this too as D's eats at different times than we do, but dh and I pray before our meals and bedtime, but I think we'll start faith D's too:-)

With DD I ask her for her hands and hold mine out and she'll give her hands to me and I'll hold them and just say Amen. For now we are keeping it simple but just getting her in the habit. I'd say they are never to young to start!

Nope not too early. We have been praying with him before dinner since he has been in his high chair. We both hold one of his hands and we say our family prayer. We also make sure to say a prayer before we put him down every night.
