When did you stop using your angelcare monitor?

I'm admittedly an angelcare addict :). We've used it since lo's started in their cribs and it just gives me such peace of mind that I am still using it. I've been getting a lot of false alarms though since they are getting more squirmy so am starting to think its time to stop. It just made me wonder for how long other moms used it for? I'm sure I can't be the only addict out there ;).

    A year- my DH "suggested"  that it was a good time.

    This is the kind of monitor I want to use for my twins that are due in June.  Do you just have two seperate ones or is there a "twin pack" that is available or what set up do you use?  Thanks in advance for your advice, I've been stressing about this!  Smile

    you have to buy 2 separate units bc each one connects to the alarming monitor. I love it though, highly recommend (clearly lol).

    My name is Nicole, and I am also and angel care addict. My Kids are 18 mo and we still are using them. I plan to use them as alarms to know if my kids have escaped their beds! 

    Now that my kids are toddlers they alarm way less because they are much bigger. I also make sure it stays in the middle after you've changed the sheets. that seemed to be a big part of my alarm issues earlier. 

     I am paranoid. I've seen my child apneic and blue before (when DD was in the NI), that is not something I ever want to experience again. I know they are not full proof by any means, but the piece if mind is worth it to me.

    Another Angelcare addict here.  My twins are 21 months and we still use it.  More for the general sound monitor and less for the movement but we still like it for the peace of mind.  I'm waiting for the day the monitor goes off and we walk in the room to find out they climbed out of their cribs.  There was a period of a couple months around the time they turned one when they were really squirmy in their sleep but weren't big enough to be monitored when they were at the extreme ends of their crib.  That was annoying, but once they get big enough the false alarms will stop.

    BRILLIANT idea to use it to check on escapees!!! I never even thought of that!! Now you have me thinking I might need to stay with it. Great...the addiction continues ;).
