So a friend of mine and myself and our families do a camping trip to a beautiful lake in Northeren AZ in the summer...this summer she will have a NB about 16 weeks old and mine will be about 6-7 weeks old..we all have nice trailers ( wil be plugged into electricity, water etc) so we would have "accomidations" not like we are truely camping in tents or anything...Would it be safe to travel with the babies for this trip? Considering elevation and being in the mountains etc? We are both FTMs so just trying to deecide now if we should book our spots or not go this year? Opinions appreciated
Re: Traveling to higher elevations..
Plenty of babies live in higher elevations, so the elevation itself shouldn't be a problem. The babies may be slightly uncomfortable for a time, but you probably wouldn't be able to distinguish between discomfort from pressure changes and discomfort from a dirty/wet diaper, hunger or sleepiness.
My biggest concern would be having enough space for the babies and their "stuff". At that age, you'll need lots of diapers and they'll both be at a stage where they need things to keep them stimulated when awake. But that said, I'm sure you can swing it with enough preparation. Enjoy your trip!
