Moms of multiples AND singleton

I'm really sorry if this is a stupid question and I'm really sorry if it's been asked before. I have tried searching but the search function here is pathetic. Google doesn't give me anything definitive either.

Was your morning sickness worse when you were pregnant with multiples?

This is my third pregnancy. My first two were an absolute breeze, no morning sickness whatsoever. This time however, I'm feeling really grotty. Not actually throwing up so I can't really complain but just an all day constant nauseous feeling, sort of like when you start to feel travel sick.

Anyway, I'm sure it's just bad luck and not multiples. I'm having my dating scan tomorrow anyway so I feel even stupider not being able to wait, it's just the thought struck me tonight and with a 1yo and a 2.5yo I honestly wasn't hoping for multiples!!

So, any anecdotal evidence?? Thank you ladies

I had horrible morning sickness that went on longer bc of the double hormones. I lost 15 lbs I was so sick..

Everyone I know with twins has given me "the look" when I say I don't have m/s. they all say it was horrible with twins (I think most of them have other kids as well

)

This is also my third pregnancy and I'm expecting twins. I had m/s with both if my girls but this time it was way worse. I also find that I have to lay down during their nap time so I can make it through dinner time. I'm sure it's the double hormones plus we are making two babies so our bodies are working harder. There is medication your doctor can subscribe that some ppl say works. Have fun at the ultrasound. My twelve week is on Friday and u can't wait.

I had no morning sickness at all with either of my boys. This time I had about 2 weeks of feeling like I was hungover (food aversions, headache, tired, mild nausea but no vomiting) but by then I already knew I was having twins.

My pregnancy with my DD was easy. No morning sickness, not once. With this pregnancy I was pretty sick until about 14 weeks or so. I found out we were expecting twins at 12 weeks along.

I had no m/s with my twin pregnancy, but it was awful with both singleton pregnancies. Symptoms are not indicitive of a multiples pregnancy.

My morning sickeness got worse with each pregnancy. With # 1 it was just feeling sick, with # 2 I threw up and felt sick, with the twins I was out on zofran because I couldn't even keep down water. I was miserable with the twins in the beginning. I couldn't eat anyhting without getting sick and lost 10 lbs.

I'm jealous of all the moms who didn't have any m/s in general!

I was sick and had a variety of food/smell aversions with both pg's for about the first 4 months, DS1 and these two. Some triggers stayed the same, some bothered me during one but not the other. I think it was worse w/ the twins but not twice as bad. I was definitely a lot more tired in the first tri w/ the twins. W/ DS1, I remember needing a nap when I'd get home from work but otherwise getting through the workday whereas with the twins, I'd be near tears by 2pm every day because my body felt ready to collapse and I still had to get through 3 more hours.

this is pretty much my experience. oh my goodness, I'm getting the shivers just thinking about all of the puking... blech!!!

I had HG both times. Needed a picc line, zofran pump, constant fluids, and several hospital stays.

Thank you for sharing all your experiences, ladies, I really appreciate. So there doesn't seem to be a definite correlation between increased MS and multiples but there is a slight leaning in that direction. I have my appointment in half an hour so I'll know for sure then. I'll come back and let you know

I was horribly sick with #1. At one piont, my OB was going to admit me for an IV if I wasn't able to get hydrated before my next appt. I lost almost 15 pounds in 1st tri.

This time is sooo much better. I only lost 4 pounds and while I still occasionally throw up in the morning, the nausea is almost gone for most of the day.

With my first, I was nauseated on and off and vomited through the whole pregnancy. With my second, I felt like I had the flu 24/7 for about 13 weeks. This time, with the twins, I feel sick for about half of the day...flulike. So this pregnancy is actually the easiest of mine. But it still sucks.

This pregnancy (twins - can't change my ticker), I have been LESS pukey, but EXTREMELY exhausted all the time.
