Pregnancy Hair :(

Hello Ladies,

I dont know about anyone else but my hair has a mind of its own now. Everyday is a  bad hair day. My hair is thicker which is great! But.... it is also dry and unmanageable. Does anyone have a tips or remdies for dry unruly pregnancy hair????

Re: Pregnancy Hair :(

  • No tips here just letting you know you aren't alone.  Mine is out of control also and after I have LO and it all starts falling out it only gets worse. Guess it is time to call up the salon for a trim.  lol

  • I'm having the opposite problem - way too much oil production.  If I don't wash every day it looks gross.  I use a light leave in conditioner for my ends because I know it's not too great to wash so frequently, even though I use a sulfate free shampoo.

  • Definitely agree that a trim helps.  So does not washing every single day (I do mine every second day).  On the really dry days, I supplement my 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner (big time saver!) with Live Clean argan oil conditioner.  Leaves my hair so silky, but never greasy.

  • A while ago, somebody posted about the "mythical magical pregnancy hair", and I definitely did not get that.  I've got no tips, but I personally feel that if my hair distracts from my belly, then that's a good thing.  Even if it IS bad hair!  :-)

  • My hair dresser told me a long time ago to get a hair mask.  It is like a super deep conditioner.  Put it on and leave it over night.  Some dry so you could just sleep on a towel or put your hair up in a shower cap.  Hair masks can be expensive so she also said that you can do it with regular conditioner too. Works amazingly!!!

  • I'm actually getting ready to switch up my shampoo and conditioner because I feel like what I've been using just isn't getting my hair clean anymore.  I've been living in ponytails and buns for a long time.  Good luck to you!
