sore skin to touch?

This is probably the oddest question, but does anyone else have tender to the touch skin by their hip and towards the side to your bum? It doesn't hurt really, just the actually skin feels really tender.

I had this same symptom and after a few days where it progressively got worse I went to my primary care and was diagnosed with shingles. If you notice a rash or anything start to form I would get to your doctor.

Shingles during pregnancy? I've had shingles before on my back, but this doesn't hurt as bad, at least not yet. But it would make sense as to why it hurts for my pants to touch my skin. I had shingles back in like 2008.

Yup. I was around 5 weeks pregnant when I was diagnosed with it. too early to take any of the antiviral medication, and it knocked me out of work for 2 weeks. I guess it's becoming more common, my OB said I was the 3rd person that week to call and say they had it. Fun times!

I was also coming in to say it may be early shingles. I've had it a few times and pregnant women are at increased risk.

Huh interesting, I would have never even guessed that it would have been shingles. Out of all the things to get. lol It's going to be a fun few weeks:)

I've had that symptom badly and I'm 10 weeks. No shingles here, fingers crossed!! My doc said it's normal.

Now that you mention it, there was a point where my skin near my bum was kind of sore. It felt like it was mildly bruised but had no reason for it. It went away for me though.

I have the same feeling, just on my thighs/upper legs. It feels like they are bruised. Weirdest thing...

And I'm prettttty sure no shingles here.
