...I mean heavy weights.
My stats were:
Deadlift: 185lbs
Squats: 165lbs
Overhead Press: 80lbs
Bench Press: 135lbs
Curls: 40lbs
Fly: 35lbs
I also ran 5k when I wasn't lifting. I used to be morbidly obese (350lbs), when I got pregnant I weighed 175lbs and had abs for the first time in my life, extremely happy. Then it disappeared haha. I am now about 210lbs and feel completely sluggish. I cannot wait to be able to lift and run like I used to, it felt really good and if I could do it now I bet I wouldn't stress about half these hormones since it was a natural relaxer for me.
How about you? Lift heavy? If you did and have had your child already how do you feel about it now? How long do you think it will be before going back to pre-pregnancy stats?
Re: Anyone used to lift weights before being pregnant?
My maxes are/were similar to yours, just retested last month and am currently just shy of 20 weeks pregnant. I think continuing to do what I'm able through pregnancy will help get back into it, but it's just going to take some time regardless. I wasn't doing it before or during my last pregnancy, but started around 2-3 months after having my daughter.
I don't know how far post-partum you are, but start back into it slowly and you'll get back to where you feel good. I do CrossFit and know that the group atmosphere helps push me way more than if I were just going to a gym!
I am still lifting, but I've never been able to do that kind of weight. I'm getting to the point where I am just too tired to add additional weight, and that's getting annoying. It's not the same kind of workout when I can't push myself. :-(
"Heavy" for me is 80 lbs lat pull downs, 70 lbs low row, 50 lbs chest flyes, 40 lbs seated bench press, 25-30 lbs shoulders (both arms), 15 lbs bicep curls (each arm), 30 lbs tricep extension (both arms), 50-70 lbs leg extensions/curls/inner thigh/outer thigh, 180 lbs leg press machine...
I hate running, so I've usually just walked on the treadmill. My speed is much much slower now. I'm slower on the elliptical. I'm just slower in general I guess.

I was a competitive powerlifter before I got pregnant with DS... Ranked #3 for SHW Raw Women for the year from a meet that I had lifted in pregnant (would have easily totalled about 40 pounds higher had I been allowed to strain while deadlifting). Lifted until a complication around the 32 week mark took me out completely. If I could have lifted until the day I delivered I would have. A FB friend of mine just did a fridge flipping event and she's due in July.
Above all else, don't train like a knucklehead while Pregnant. Listen to your body! Make hay while the sun shines and rest/deload when your body needs it.
For me, I have no idea when I'll be able to get to my pre-preg. stats because a severe diastasis recti took me out. Until I have it surgically repaired, lifting is out because I'm symptomatic (i.e. if I push too hard I can easily get a full blown hernia)... Do what you can and listen to your body, it's the same whether you're pregnant or not!
My stats were about the same as OP when I got pregnant. I lifted the whole pregnancy at about 50 to 60% of maximum. I am now post pardom and still lifting at about 60 to 70% of maxium. I am about to start a building phase here soon, hopefully I can surpass my old 1RM. I love to lift. My joints though are hurting postpardom, which supposedly is pretty normal while you are nursing.
I want to add that I have never recovered so quick and got back to my pre-preg shape/wieght as fast as I have this baby (my fourth). This is the only one where I have lifted all through out the pregnancy.
Nobody should be ashamed at whatever weight they feel comfortable doing. I actually have not done Crossfit, I did a variation of Starting Strength / strong lifts 5x5 mixed in with running is all, so I was more of the slow controlled movements rather than the burst.
I am 35 weeks pregnant right now, and hearing some of you still lifting has opened my eyes because the moment I told the OB and Midwives about it, they first looked at me crazy for lifting that much...then told me the stress of lifting could cause a miscarriage. Out here you do not see much people exercising like that, and the nearest crossfit center is about a hundred miles away. So maybe they were projecting what seemed like a woman should normally do? I don't know, all I do know is that right now if I walk down the stairs it feels like my son will force his way out, haha.
Those are great stats, seriously. I don't know what type of diet you're on, but I found I had a lot more energy when I ate something with protein about an hour before going to the gym.
