I'm getting my ass kicked.  I'm not going to lie, things are going rough.  My moods are pretty volatile & I'm still figuring out how to soothe Betty.  She's definitely more high-maitenance than her big sis.

I've been taking a little bit of a Bump break since it seems to increase my anxiety.  Any good vibes are appreciated.

    How are you MMH?

Here's a few pics of Betts.

How cute is Betty! And don't get me started on your siggy pic! That is some major cuteness overload :D

I'm sorry things are so rough right now. Those first few weeks with 2u2 are definitely no walk in the park, but I promise you'll get the hang of it. Big creepy internet hugs to you.

Things are good over here, thanks for asking. Not sure if you saw, but we finally sold our condo and are moving into our house in May. We're really excited, though I don't find the idea of moving with a newborn exactly thrilling. lol

  • Oh Linds.....I feel ya.  I wish I didn't, but I do.  Some days are fantastic......okay, maybe that's an exaggeration.  Two days have been fantastic??  Both my boys are high maintenance and now that I am getting very little sleep most nights, my moods are not always great.  I've spent more than one night crying. BUT I've heard that it will be awesome some day, so we have that to look forward to!

I'll try to get some new pics of Gray up soon, but right now I shoving mac and cheese down my gullet enjoying the rare moment that both boys are asleep and then I have to go prep dinner before Max wakes up and starts crying about his teeth!

  • We are doing pretty well at our house, so far... ::knocks on wood::

It has ONLY been 2 weeks but 2u2 is going better than I anticipated, I'm kinda waiting for the other shoe to drop though. It all depends really on how much sleep we get. DS has been a low maintenance baby, he has been nursing awesome and rarely cries. It has not been bad getting up at night with a newborn again, it IS bad when DD decides to have a rough night and get up every hour. LUCKILY there have only been 2 of those nights. DD has adjusted better than I could've imagained (hope I'm not jinxing it but writing it down), when nursing DS she brings me books to read or plays nicely by herself and when I'm carrying DS around she will happily hold my hand instead of being picked up. She LOVES to help change his diaper, she pulls out a few wipes and wipes his little butt while I do it, it is very cute. She also loves to talk to him, preferring to give him kisses and say "Hi Ni" over giving me kisses.

The first week of PP haromones were a little rough, but I think that part is over. DH was home that week and although he was a great help with DD, he DROVE me nuts. He gets so stir crazy being home and I was happy to send him back to work.

I'm overly crazy about germs and getting sick than I EVER was with DD. I think because it is the height of the flu season. I am getting antsy to get out of the house but the anxiety of having the kids in public is trumping all. In fact when DS was 5 days old, DH went out shopping for a new TV. The next morning he threw up. I thought he caught a stomach virus and I lost my sh!t. I packed both kids up, our things for a few days in a suitcase and showed up at my parents house in tears. I was TERRIFIED we were all going to be throwing up in no time and I had to get away from DH's germs! Turns out it was nothing and I may have overreacted... LOL.

Really the biggest downside to 2u2 is the lack of sleep. No sleeping in and no extra naps.

Although I haven't been posting much recently, I've been on reading posts in the middle of the night. So thanks for the entertainment ladies! ;)

I promise that part gets better. As DD gets older, you'll realize you have a bit more flexibility in terms of what time you can put her down for her nap (DD1 over here is a champ and she will go down any time between 1PM and 3:30PM), which will make your napping schedule that much easier :)

Also, I LOVE your new siggy pic - Such a great big sister already! And stop the "I look like crap" non sense. What I see is a beautiful, happy family (mama included)
