Starting cows milk

So dd is rapidly approaching one! I have these same questions for pedi at her well visit but thought I would ask for your experience as well, because preemie moms know best sometimes! When did you start introducing and weening off formula or BM? At our 6 month NICU follow up the np mentioned keeping dd on supplemental neosure until a year adjusted for the extra boost in cals and nutrients. For those of you that have done this how did you go about the transition? When did you make the full transition off bottles? TIA

    My youngest will be 1 in about 32 days (hold me!) and I plan to start transition her to WCM at or around 12 months old. I plan to mix formula with WCM in with her last tub of formula. I did this with my older DD and she had no issues. We actually still used bottles until 14 months old, but I'm hoping to cut the bottles at or around 12 months as well.

    What does your pedi say, do they want to stick with neosure until her adjust age?

    Well that's the thing, pedi took her off neosure because he was happy with her weight gain, we went to NICU follow up for 6 months adjusted and they wanted her back on because they prefer all preemies stay on it for the added benefits until a year adjusted. So I talked to pedi about putting her back on and he said it wouldn't hurt and was comfortable with either option. So I know I will probably get conflicting responses, we don't go back to NICU follow up until May. Her year well is next month (insert eyes welling  as I typed that) so I wanted to get your opinions of what you mama's did. 

    ETA: She is on full formula now, I finally stopped pumping and went through my frozen stash.

    Its seems like all docs have a different opinion on this.  My pedi, who is also a neo but only on call every 6 weeks at the hospital and is in private practice the rest of the time, stopped having me fortify my breastmilk at 9 months (5.5 adj) and then had me transition to WCM starting at 13 months (9.5 adj).  I was nervous about this and transitioned her over the course of a month but she seems to be doing fine on WCM.

    We just went cold turkey on his birthday

    11.2011 - DS1

    02.2013 - loss at 6 wks

    06.2014 - DS2

    10.2015 - loss at 12 wks

    03.2017 - DD

    My DS was still 1% or below on the weight chart at the 1yr mark and was still on Enfacare for the extra calories...we kept him on it until he was 18mos not adjusted and then transitioned to whole milk over the course of about 1.5wks.  He's 7 now and still drinks whole milk.

     He weaned himself off bottles around 9mos not adjusted - he preferred Doidy cups, travel mugs, and straws.
