C-sections

Very bad cramping 3 months out...

It's been almost 3 months since I had my second C-section and I suddenly have pretty intense cramping on an on and off basis. Is this normal? Anyone else have the same experience?

My lower back is also terribly stiff at the incision site when I get up from sitting down - like I'm really old or something.

Sigh.

  • Your post sounds like you have an incision in your back...

Sometimes my spine feels weird which I attribute to the spinal.

Have you started your period yet? Are you on any BC? The cramping could be AF getting ready to re-emerge.

  • Thanks for your reply! I was also wondering if the back ache might be due to the spinal...it just seems like it's been taking a long time for it to go back to normal...

I am not on BC. I guess I'll watch and see what happens...

  • I could of wrote this post myself.

I am also 3mo pp and having terrible cramping. I hardly ever had any cramping pre-pregnacy and am in a ton of pain!

  • Thanks so much for making me feel like I"m not alone! It's really bad today. I feel like it radiates to my lower back. I was walking a lot today so not sure if that added strain. But the odd thing is I was probably even more physically active after my first C-section a few years ago and it didn't hurt like it does this time around...my ribs also hurt. I'm not sure what to do. My doctor tends to blow me off when I bring up issues like this so not sure if it will help to see him or if I should try and get in with another OB in teh practice...
