If you don't mind, I have an itchy cat question. We have two indoor cats, litter mates, best buds. In the fall we got a mouse in the house and the mouse brought fleas. We got rid of the mouse, treated the cats for fleas and treated the house. Since then, no sign of fleas, flea dirt, etc. However, one of the cats seems to be extremely itchy. He has scabs on his neck and base of his tail. I didn't think it was fleas since the cats sleep and play together and only one seems itchy. He is a little high strung, but seems himself aside from the obsessive itching and bathing. I have trimmed their claws, and bought some skin soothing cat shampoo (but haven't attempted to bathe him yet). Do you have any suggestions? Should I continue treating with flea and tick meds to make sure he doesn't have some kind of insect, or is there a supplement I can give for his skin? Maybe he needs Xanax? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!
If you have any questions on the federal budget process or marine fungi, just let me know and I would be happy to answer them.
