I just started my metformin Friday and progesterone last night, when I did my OPK it was positive. I was wondering if that could possibly be accurate or if the two pills caused the positive?
I have PCOS and get false positives on OPKs. RE told me it just happens for some people and I am one of them, thus I can't use them - you might be the same. I think it happens more in people with PCOS.

Me: 30, PCOS with anovulation DH: 38, Low Morph & DE Rx: Metformin 500mg
Thank you for the response, I too have PCOS, I am taking these meds to treat and help with having a little person. I figured it might be a false positive, as I haven't O'd on my own in some time.
I have PCOS and ovulated a couple of times a year if I was lucky. When I started metformine alone I ovulated in 6 weeks. It's definitely possible it's a true positive - but it def could be your PCOS playing tricks with your pee (although - I'm not sure you're gonna O while on Provera). I'd BD just in case.

Can I ask a stupid question, where can you fun information about charting? I want to make sure I am doing it properly.
I feel a little in the dark with everything! My OBGYN did the necessary testing to determine that I have PCOS and then had her nurse call to tell me I had a prescription waiting at the pharmacy. I have been trying to google and learn more on forums like this, but I am just so lost.
I want to find a new doctor, I am just not sure where to start since we just moved. I also, just feel a little uneasy talking to friends about everything, because they just got pregnant. It almost makes me feel bad...

Sorry to unload!
Fertility Friend is a great app to learn charting. They have tools, courses, andmy personal favorite endless hours of chart stalking. You can access through most anyones siggys.
This is a great place to ask questions and bounce things off people. But, if you have been trying for less than one year, TTGP is probably the place for you. GL!

You should probably ditch the OPKs and start charting your BBT. OPKs and PCOS don't play nice together.
Good luck.
