4th Birthday Party Games

We are planning a Mickey Mouse birthday for my 4 yr old son and I'm having a hard time choosing what games/activities we should do. This is out first real friend party
So I'm a little nervous! We will be inside at my neighborhood clubhouse so space is somewhat limited. Any suggestions that you think 4 yr olds would like? TIA!

Re: 4th Birthday Party Games

  • We're doing a Mickey Mouse theme next weekend for my son's 3rd birthday. Look on line, there are tons of ideas. A couple ideas we tossed around were: pin the tail on the mouse, mickey coloring contest, or Mickey Bingo. Another option that would require more imagination would be to give them a challenge to complete and they call for "toodles" to help. I'd say simple is better, let them use their imaginations and have fun.

  • This summer my soon to be 4 yr old went to a party for a girl turning 6 (family frined) and they did a scavenger hunt set up like toodles. The mom showed the kids what they had to grab on a poster board (4 things that go into making a cake, like flour, a spoon, a candle, and something else) and then the kids had to run and find it. The parts were all in baggies and in somewhat viewable hiding spots. The kids loved it. Even my DD who was 2-3 years younger than the rest of the kids.

  • what about an organized craft?  i'm sure you can find something mickey mouse related, maybe a mickey mouse mask or puppet or something to color in?

  • Thank you all for these great ideas! I was thinking about doing a craft of having white paper bags and draw Mickey on them and then let the kids decorate them with all kids of crafts. Then once they were done I'd have a table of favors that they could fill their bag with to take home. Does that sound ok or should I already have the favor bags filled and find another craft?
