LO sees me and starts to cry if I don't pick him up ASAP. He is fine until I walk in the door and then the chase
Begins. He follows me everywhere crying and wanting me to pick him up. I do and we snuggle but then I put him down to olay and the crying begins
Is this a phase!?
When his dad tries to get him he gets even more mad?! Maybe it's just the end of the day and his tired?

She gets like that sometimes. I know that you technically can't "spoil" a baby, but I do want her separation anxiety to be a short period of time, if possible. Sometimes I pick her up, sometimes I don't. I try to divert her attention to something else- a toy, me singing a song, doing something that I know makes her laugh, etc. She has gotten a lot better if I talk to her in a reassuring voice and tell her what I am doing or where I am (if I am in the bathroom and I put her in her crib in her room next door for example).
