I did... I had a csection on the 15th, and my incision opened on the 25th
..I went to my OB the day that I discovered it opened, she swabbed it to check for infection and then proceeded to drain it... That was not a pretty sight! However it felt wonderful once the pressure was relieved... The next 2 or 3 days it's drained pretty heavily to the extent that it soaked through several gauze pads and a maxi pad in 1 2 hours... About a week after, the opening closed almost entirely and just had a tiny bit of drainage each day... None of it was painful, just pressure before it was drained and a huge inconvenience when it was draining for the following week... im thankful that isn't open completely at home and drain itself, because the amount that came out in the doctor's office would have scared the heck out of me!...But like everything else it's worth it when I see my little boy face :
Unfortunately, my incision opened up within 2 weeks, and the opening was extremely deep. I had to go to the wound care center at the hospital weekly, and my DH had to pack/unpack it with gauze/this special silver stuff daily. This went on for way longer than it should have, and I developed a raging staph/strep infection, as well as a seroma. I needed a 2nd surgery at 14 weeks postpartum to cut out the seroma area and stitch everything closed again. Luckily, it was an outpatient procedure and healed within 6 weeks.
