My hair is falling out

OK ladies I know this is "normal" but is it caused by hormones?  When will it stop?  Never had this with my first baby.  My DD is 5 1/2 months old and I BF and she has formula as well, been losing my hair more noticeably for the past 3 months maybe.

    I lost mine the first month. Are you still taking vitamins? Maybe extra calcium would help?

    I started losing a tremendous amount of hair at the three month mark. I actually had bald spots. I went to a dermatologist specializing in hair loss and even got a wig. I'm happy to report that it is starting to fill back in, albeit slowly. PM me if you want specifics on what he has me on.

    No tips, just wanted to let you know your not alone. I heard its supossed to start subsiding around 6 months pp. I got my hair chopped off because it was thinning so much. Hopefully our locks start growing back soon!

    i'm taking my prenatals and my hair has been falling out for about 3 months now.  to the point i'm filling my hair brush daily and have thin spots.  my dr did a thyroid test just to be sure, but as its negative she said its normal the first 6 months but should slow after that

    its starting to grow back in in places and now i have nice short little hairs stick up all over the place.

    10/15/10 HPT+ 10/16/10 +blood test! missed m/c found at 17w, gone at aprox 14w., D&C

    Mine started coming out at 4 months PP and at 6 months I am still cleaning my hairbrush every day.  I wish it would stop, I already had to change my part becuase of the bald spot in the front of my head.

    My hair started coming out when my LO was 2 months. It was very noticable especially in the front around my edges. I stopped putting my hair up in pony tails and made sure that my hair bands were pushed farther back on my head. I also did not sleep in a pony tail. I also started using a deep conditioner. I am happy to report that the hair grew back and I have not had a problem since!

    It is such a pain in the ass!! 

    It started a little bit before 4 months pp. It's got me shedding like a damn dog! I've got bleach blonde coloring and I wear mostly black or dark colors so it shows so bad! I'm half temped to cut all my hair off again but I worked so hard to get it this long. I've read the posts above, I might try the vitamins see if that helps. But other than that no real advice, sorry.
