Less annoyed at MIL than I was 5 days ago but still irritated. My DH is Jewish and on Feb 1st we had my son's Bris. We had the Bris at DH's grandparents' house. DH's grandmother was ill and the agreement was she would hide herself in a back room, completely avoiding me and the baby. Well MIL decreed grandma (her mom) to be not contagious anymore and dragged her out. Grandma avoided me and DS to the best of her ability but it was still annoying that MIL violated the agreement, especially because grandma thought it was the flu.
Well Tues I started getting sick and Wed it was determined that I had the flu! I ended up in the ER for fluids while hubby took DS home. I then stayed at my mom's until I had been without a fever for 48 hours. FIL helped DH while I was gone but wasn't the best help. Yesterday MIL came with FIL when he came over to help put the changing table together. Not a word was said about me being sick, she didn't even ask how I was doing!
Re: MIL (Vent)
I think a bris has to be on a specific date in the newborn boy's life. I don't know if there was much wiggle room on this one.
