I'm hoping to train for the Vegas half marathon in November. I hate running, but I do it because it's the only exercise I seem to be able to do year-round, with no equipment, that gives me results. I've got to do something or I'm going to be 35 and fat and that's no good!
Anyone else looking forward to this or making any plans?
Re: Weight Loss Post Baby
First round of Clomid in May 2012= BFP #1, DD born January 2013
BFP #2 in January 2014, DS born September 2014
DH and I cancelled our cable and will get a gym membership once I am cleared by my OB. I am really looking forward to exercising again.
The gym also has daycare, so I will want to go just to get a break from the babies and take a shower alone after my workout.
I am looking forward to being able to go up and down stairs and carry heavy things again without feeling like I'm going to collapse! :P
No laid out plans for working out, but that'll come upon observing my PP body, I'm sure
I'm NOT looking forward to saggy belly + stretch marks
Trust me, I can't wait to work out again! I'm planning on a Nov come back marathon so I want to hit the road ASAP!
I'm planning to do a 10K on May 11th, hoping to be able to train for about 4 weeks before which means potentially starting around 5 weeks post baby. Really dont know what to expect though as far as how long it will take me to heal and bounce back. I realize it may potentially be too ambitious but I'll see how it goes. Anyway good luck with your training, I can't wait to get back out there.
Someone recently told me that labor is a lot like distance running...I don't really believe them but I am trying to! I don't mind a half marathon but childbirth is something I am still not sure I can do!
