DH thought I was peeing on the floor

Well, around 4 this morning I was awake and felt some fluid trickling out. I went to the bathroom to check it out and DH was just getting out of the shower to start an early work day. As I was standing near the toilet trying to get a look the trickle turned into a full flow. I was so surprised that I stood there for a second until DH looked at me like I was insane and said "What, you can't pee into the toilet?" I replied...Uh this isn't pee, it's my water breaking. I should back over the toilet though. Haha. My hospital's policy is to come in right away if your water breaks so after showering and having breakfast we are in LD now. Contractions aren't really progressing that well so I may be getting a low dose of augmentation in an hour or so. Hoping to still have a more or less med free birth!

Ha, ha! That sounds exactly like something I would do, and how my DH would react : )

Mine was a definite gush after gush, so I didn't have to try and figure it out. I did call my DH (who was asleep in our bedroom) to bring me towels, because I decided it wouldn't be worth it to get it all over our livingroom, dining room, hallway, and bathroom. He was in a haze, and opened our bedroom door and just looked at me until I yelled "Towels, now!"

HAHA! I think there's an excuse - at 4AM it is a little tough to comprehend anything that is going on! Good luck with your delivery. Can't wait to hear your birth story.
