Late pRe term 36 w 1d they were born over 7 lbs, no NiCU, and doctor just said at 6 month you would never know they are preemies 99 percentile for heights/weights. Don't worry!
There are horror stories, as a PP said, for EVERYTHING. Even singletons....
I went 36 weeks, 5 days and then got pre-e and had to have a c-section. Girls were 5'5" and 5'9" and had ZERO NICU time. Now they are off the chart for height and perfect for weight.
A friend of mine's twins were born a week earlier and did spend time in the NICU - but they were fine and are fine today, at three years old. Just relax! Stay hydrated and keep your feet up as much as you can.
The bottom line is, they are going to come when they're going to come...and your doctor/hospital are well-equipped to deal with whatever happens...good luck

I too was super nervous about going early. I insisted we have everything ready by 28 weeks, started packing my bag at 34 weeks and stopped working at 35 weeks and then didnt deliver until 40 weeks (and that was after a 4 day induction!).
Everybody is different. Just take care of yourself the best you can.
We welcomed our girls on 11.7.12 @ 40w0d!

Like PP said, there's a poll in the FAQs where you'll see more answers than given in this post.
My boys were born 34w. They spent 3 and 4 weeks in the NICU, but have no preemie-related issues at 3.5 months. They weighed 4lbs 10oz at birth and are now up to 11lbs!
My girls were born via emergency c/s at 34w4d (pre-e w/hellp syndrome) and spent 4 weeks in the special care nursery. They were born at 2.9 and 3.7 lbs with no other preemie issues besides being small. They were only in there as feeders/growers. They are almost 4.5 months old and you would never know they were early, other than they are small for their age (10.5 and 11lbs).
Like PPs have said, they will come when they come. The best thing you can do is relax, take it easy and drink lots of water.
36wks 1 day. No NICU, just major breastfeeding struggles. They weighed 5lbs and 6lbs 9oz! DS was caught up on the full term chart by month 2 and DD caught up by month 4! They are now 35th & 80th percentile for weights and 40th and 70th for length on the FT chart!

I was panicky when pregnant w/ the girls. Everyone had a horror story and since DS was born at exactly 37 weeks I was told over and over and OVER again the girls would be early... told to expect bedrest at 28-30 weeks even though I didn't work at the time. I made 6 different trips to L&D because I was convinced things were wrong... (This was as a 2nd time prego lady.... things freaked me out even though I KNEW better!)
My girls were born at 39w3d... they had to be forcibly evicted lol... aka scheduled c-section, and other than total exhaustion and achiness after around 30 weeks we had no issues. They were 6-11 and 6-14, and are now extremely healthy 2 1/2 year olds.
I had constant contractions from 15w on but thankfully we made it to my induction at 38w1d. I was sure mine were going to come early but in the end, I almost wound up needing a C-section because my cervix didn't want to budge - go figure.
My MFM said with twins 50% come before 35w and 50% come after. Just make sure you're taking it easy - remember this isn't a singleton PG so don't feel bad or let anyone make you feel bad for being "lazy". I spent the vast majority of my PG on my side on the couch because of my contractions.
And whatever you do, don't hesitate to call your Dr. if you have ANY questions or if you have any strange symptoms or are worried about anything. That's what they're there for. They'd much rather have you come in for "nothing" than take a "wait and see" approach. GL!

Re: Full term/Pre term
in the FAQs there's a poll that a bunch of women have taken
https://community.thebump.com/cs/ks/forums/thread/67480643.aspx
just press "view results" under the clicky poll... there's 176 votes
And as bad as it sounds, horror stories seem to be "allowed" for every major event in life - kids, parties, graduations, weddings... ugh
