Seriously?!

SS's actual bio-mom (not the BM I refer to when talking about SKs; that is actually a former guardian of his and is his half-sister's BM) just had her tubal ligation reversed. WTF?! She has a 14 (I think?) year old daughter who has been in foster care for years and SS, age 11, who she hasn't seen in over 6 years (and was only really involved in his life for the first two or three years). Since then she had nothing to do with SS until this past year. She talks to him on the phone every few months. She sent him a birthday present in the fall and money for a Christmas present this year...so all of that is a start. To be honest, we're glad that she hasn't been involved more in SS's life because she is BSC. Her personal life is none of our business and, really, it shouldn't matter to us that she got this procedure done. But I just don't understand why someone would get this procedure done when they have proven that they are not capable of being a parent. Ugh!

Not asking for advice. Feel free to post your opinions. I just needed to vent. I think this is ridiculous.

My SS's mom had two children by two dads and both dads have custody. SS is 13 and his sister is 5. She has flat out said she doesn't know how to be a mom. She just had her 3rd baby with someone else this past year. We will see how long she can mother this baby before she leaves her too. People are ridiculous.
