I know this is random, but I am pregnant and emotional and decided to watch a little video clip of when LO #2 was first born. I don't know about you all, but those moments are all a blur for me afterward, so it was fun to see what our first words to her were. Was just curious if you all remembered yours? Thought it could be a fun walk down memory lane!
DD#1: When first born "Oh my gosh" (cue tears), then when they handed her to me "she's so little! Aww I love you so much!"
DD#2: When first born "Aww hi!," (cue tears) then when they first handed her to me "hiii, I am so sorry you had to go through that... we are so happy you're here! Oh Ray, she has brown eyes!!"
Obviously, much more was said after this, but these were my very first phrases

Re: First words you said when your LO was born?

ZOMG T! Look at all those rolls! Mich was such a little Chubster! Love it!
Mine was a c-section, and I was drugged, exhausted, angry, and vomitting. My first THOUGHT was, "Man, that was fast" when they said he was out. On the video when DH brings DS over to me, I say "Hi Baby" and some other blubbery things that are hard to make out before DH took him away when I resumed vomitting.
Mine was, "Well, what IS it????????"
A doctor I had never met before ended up delivering DD. She had no idea that we were Team Green. She laughed and apologized afterwards, she said she was just so used to people knowing, she didn't think to announce the sex to us!
I don't have video of my first, but I watch the one of my second often.
I said, "Oh my god, oh my god, oooh, baby boy, oh my god...thank you so much for getting me out of the tub*...are you coughing, are you okay, hi baby, mommy is here, right here, are you okay? you okay?** Ooh...oh my god, oh my god...you were an active little bugger***...oh my gosh, baby wade, oh my gosh I have my baby, I'm sorry baby****..."
*Said to my MW's - I started to push in the tub and made no progress, but pushed him out within minutes of getting out and laying on my bed instead.
** He was so quiet, no crying while laying on my chest...I was concerned. He was completely fine.
*** Right after my MW told my husband that he had a true knot in his cord and that, "he swam through and swam right back out!"
**** Trying to get his naked, vernix-covered body comfortable on my chest/checking his little limbs and all and wrapping him up to help him get/stay warm.
My husband's commentary is awesome too. So much, "ooh Stef, Oh my god, I'm so proud of you, oh baby wade is here, oh my god..."
I'm so glad I have that video
She was a chubster! So cute!
