Southern Baby Names

I dont know what I am having yet but I can not think of any boy names that I just love. Me and the hubby love Emma Marie for a girl but I cant think of anything for a boy. We kind of like Forrest Jack Weatherford-jack is a family name. HELP!!!! Any good southern baby boy names?

Re: Southern Baby Names

  • If you like Emma, what about Emmet for a boy? That's a good solid, southern name. Forest is ok, but it just screams old man to me.

Grant, Jackson, Russel, Wyatt, Montgomery (love this)

  • I'm in the south and in my region it's all about the family names ie grandma's maiden name. I went to school with an Ellis, Hensley, John Daniel, Lee, Davis, Carter, and Tucker.
We have Harrison on our list and I feel Garrett sounds very southern.

  • Beau is my favorite southern boy name. I also love Rhett and John Lewis said together.

    Good luck!
  • Forrest reminds me of Forrest Gump, lol.

I like Jackson, Beau, August, Weston, Clayton, and Harrison.

    ETA:  Davis, Smith, and Carter.

  • I love Brooks Weatherford. Most of the southern boy names I like are one syllable and won't pair well with Jack.

    Other suggestions: Gideon, Sawyer, Spencer

  • We are from the south and my son's name is Ryker Thomas.  I think it's very masculine and not as common yet. Smile
