DH just called to let me know he got into a car accident. He is fine but the car will definitely need some work. Also, it sounds like he was at fault. Awesome.
I'm supposed to be giving DD2 a bath and getting her ready to go with her dad for a few hours. I'm supposed to meet him in about an hour and fifteen minutes but I think he's still sleeping because he hasn't called, texted, or FB messaged me. Plus, I'm feeling really tired and the part of the bath I'm not looking forward to is the lifting of the slippery, heavy toddler at the end. Boo!
Both DDs have colds! Whaaaat? Stay away, sickies!
I had a really weird dream again last night. Anyone interested? Hahahaha.
1. Eating issues: DS is now obsessed with cereal, and that's what he asks for when he finishes his yogurt. I don't even know how much cereal he ate for dinner, but I kept giving it to him since he willingly ate bites of sweet potato in between cereal refills. If I could only figure out a good protein source, I'd be happy.
2. My house was creeping me out last night - lots of weird noises. I couldn't tell if they were coming from my house or the neighbors - like, it sounded like water was running at one point, but I didn't have the water on.
3. Also, we have an abundance of spiders, and one of my new daily tasks is walking around and checking for them. I'm not used to bugs anymore - we didn't have any bugs in Hawaii, except for ants in our first house.
4. I still haven't moved DS to his own room. I tell myself that he'd wake me up at 5:30 anyway since I'd hear him on the monitor. I let him hang out in the PnP and entertain himself by talking to his reflection in the mirror on the closet. Eventually, he usually goes back to sleep for a little bit. If he was in his room, he'd have nothing with which to entertain himself, and I'd actually have to get up and go get him.
There is no sleep happening in this house. Gray was up until at least 2am last night and I am pretty sure he is a tummy sleeper just like his brother. Wondering when I am going to cave and just let him sleep that way.
It's 8am and Max is napping. Yeah, told you it was a weird sleep day.
There isn't enough coffee in the world.
I joined a gym last night. I wonder when I'll actually go......
I need to take a shower. Like now. Or like 5 minutes ago.

Drop the boys off at my house, hit the gym and then take, like, the longest, hottest, most relaxing shower in the history of man's existence.
Randoms: DH's company was in the news yesterday. He was given a nod by the company's owner as being one of two reasons the company is successful. Made my chest swell with pride. You will NEVER hear me complain about DH's company. They are amazing, and small. There is so much personal attention.
O slept from 6:45 until 8:30. Can you tell he's sick? He went to bed so early that I forgot to grab Hank's PJs from the dresser in O's room and Hank slept in his play clothes.
All the cats are in the garage. We spent all of Saturday tearing the house apart and cleaning everything ceiling to floor. Now, we wait. The dogs are enjoying a 2 week vacation at grandma and grandpa's house. The house feels really empty and I keep seeing things moving out of the corner of my eye. It's like having phantom animals in my house.
Ugh, MMHa. Car accidents blow. Are you on a plan where you get one "freebie" from your insurance company?
We're past the "freebie" stage
DH was involved in an accident (NOT at-fault, thank goodness) just a year ago, then before that he totaled our car (at fault) 2 years ago. Can't wait to see what our premium will be like when we renew next year.
Joey has been a beast all weekend. I lost it this morning when he laughed in my face and flung an applesauce container all over me when I told him not to throw his cup. I yelled "Breakast is over! Night night!" and in less than 20 seconds had him cleaned up and dropped into his crib yelling. He yelled for 45 minutes and threw all his stuff out on the floor. I went in, put it all back, saw his diaper was fine and said "Tough crap. You're staying in there. I'll see you when you wake up. Love you!" and left. He screamed for another ten minutes while I sat on the couch fighitng the urge to fling the monitor through a window. Mother of the Year over here today.
I shouldn't want to drink this much before noon.
I'm sorry Mama - I hope your day gets better from here on out
J&K, I know what you mean about phantom animals. Our little girl kitty died when I was pregnant with M, and I swear, I am still seeing her shadow two years later
I think I have finally come up with a name for this baby that I actually like. DH and I have both thrown out dozens upon dozens of names and don't even have a single contender. But now that I think I have one I really like, I'm afraid he's going to dismiss it. I'm vaguely remembering him shooting it down when I was pregnant with M.
I am so thankful that DD is being good, and playing and entertaining herself for the most part this morning. I feel like I'm still recovering from her crabby weekend.
I'm trying to come up with something yummy to make for DH for dinner since he has been working his asss off. Sadly, the pantry and freezer are looking pretty bare, and I don't have the car to get to the market.
DD is driving me crazy. I feel bad being so short-tempered because she has a cold, but she will not stop whining! This morning I put her in the crib, turned off the lights, and told her she had to take a nap. She hasn't taken a morning nap for months! Fortunately it worked and she is now sleeping.
DS is napping too, and instead of getting things done I am watching season 4 of Grey's Anatomy and drinking coffee.
We got about six inches of snow yesterday and I was toying with the idea of shoveling while both kiddos are taking their afternoon nap, but now I am thinking I will sit on the couch and eat popcorn instead.
I had a really weird dream again last night. Anyone interested? Hahahaha.
Dare I ask?
You get to know anyway, lol.
So for once I had a dream that included Benedict Cumberbatch without my trying to insinuate him into it during my presleep lull, lol. But it was not all rainbows and butterflies.
Some kind of criminal mastermind built a giant aquarium inside of this building and then kidnapped us and trapped us inside. The first few floors were completely submerged and had aquatic predators swimming around, so Benny and I were stuck trying to survive for months. For some reason nobody could get to us but everyone knew where we were.
Somehow we were rescued, though, and when we saw sunlight for the first time we starting jumping around and screaming happily, and he totally kissed me. So at least it had a happy ending, lol.

I'm freaking exhausted.
Lj is so whiny today. I can't take much more. I may be calling mil soon.
I had a girl on girl dream the other night. In my dream I asked Dh to join in.

I giggled at the fact that you called him "Benny" - But I guess that makes sense after everything the two of you went through together
LOL
