  My daughter's father is black and I am white. She doesn't look either. Most people think she is Brazilian or some Asian mix. But her skin is amazing and I can tell she will never get a wrinkle in her life. Lucky girl. Mama's been getting botox for years now.

  The funny thing is that she was white-skinned until about age 3. Porcelain skinned, in fact. Then all of a sudden she browned overnight and has always looked like a very tan beach baby since. Her hair changed at the same time. It was originally blue-black and straight, but it fell out over a few months and came back in soft and silky curls in a reddish brown color that turns blonde at the tips. How odd. Gotta' love genetics.

  I am mixed and I am in a mixed relationship.  My mom was white and my dad was black.  So I am mixed and my husband is white.  Our DS looks more like me right now but jst like PP said with gentics who knows when he gets older if he will still have this olive complexion and look like a mini me or start looking more like my DH.  I personally dont see myself as in a mixed relationship because I wasnt really raised to see things that way because of my family dynamic.

  MH and I are both white and so is SDs mom, but SD got my mother-in-laws dark skin.  In the summer she looks Latina, but with beach blonde hair.  I had someone ask me at the store one time if "your daughter's dad is Mexican?"

  My DD is half black and people ask me all.the.time. if she is. I HATE it because I think it's so rude. She is a beautiful girl that's what she is.

  I'm hispanc and white and so is DH. BM number one is half Dominican? I think. And BM number 2 is Puerto Rican. We are all mixed up around here lol

  I am mixed black and indian and my DH is korean. My stepsons are full Korean and our LO looks mostly Korean. He's lily white with dark hair and almond shape eyes. I think people assume I'm a baby sitter...

  I'm a very nice pasty white (half Czech, the rest is northern European mutt) and my fiance is African American, quite dark. His mom is so excited for us to have kids, she thinks we'll mix well. She said our kids would be "black with pretty gray eyes". I told her I don't think you get to pick what you get! You just never know how those genetics work out.

  ExH is white, so my 3 kids are all nice and white and pasty like me, with dark hair. Fiance does get some odd looks sometimes, (older black guy hanging out with a teenage white girl in our rural area will get some looks!), but the only real trouble we've had is from exH's family who are a bunch of raging racists. They have no relationship with my kids at all, but were harrassing me online because of it. God forbid!
