Begging for a sibling?

My three year old daughter CONSTANTLY talks about babies. She says things like,"When I have a baby sister..." and "Why don't you have a baby in your tummy like Aunt Kelly?" and "Can we just have that ladies baby? We need a baby in the house." She'll go into full blown temper tantrums when I tell her "Not yet sweety. Maybe in a few months" She begs to look at the baby stuff at the grocery store, she gives me her dolls and says ,"This is your baby, she needs a hug"

I want to have another baby. Maybe start trying in October. But have any of you encountered anything like this with your 1st kids?

    LOL mine is the opposite. "Do you want a brother, DS" "NO!"  Good thing I don't have plans to have another one anytime soon...

    I also have the opposite.  I'm 5 months pregnant with our second and DD(3) JUST starting being ok with a new baby.  Before that, I mentioned the baby, she'd tell me, "No, Mommy.  No talk about it."

    Not with my 1st although he is a boy and always said No when we asked him. Our DD who is 2 though it obsessed with babies and would love for me to have another but we are done.

    Ya DD wanted a baby sister after my sister visited with her baby. Even though she has a brother they are too close in age and he is the same size she sees him more like her twin brother than a "baby brother" 

    we got a puppy and so far no more sibling talk! Lol

    When my nephew was born several months ago my older DD started asking for a baby brother. She even offered to trade in her baby sister if she could get a brother :P I think it was just a reaction to meeting her new cousin, it stopped after a few weeks.

    DS doesn't do that, but I remember as a kid asking my mom for a little brother. My little brother and I are 5 years apart and I can remember being about 4 and having a "baby brother doll" and wanting the real thing!

    My DD is 2.5 and regularly talks about her baby sister...who has yet to be conceived :).  She has lots of plans for what she'll do and where she'll sleep and what the baby will wear.  She is very into it.  But when we're actually around babies she isn't that into them.  She certainly likes the idea of a baby sister.
