Seriously. I think my kid is allergic to disposable diapers.... at least the cheapo Target ones.
I cloth diaper 90% of the time. She got a slight diaper rash, so I put her in the disposable with a slathering of cream.... and it didnt get better, it got way worse. In the meantime I did every cloth diaper trouble shooting trick in the book.... it eventually got better, until today when she wore a disposable again and... well, go back to the top of the paragraph.
Yeah, I know, most boring post ever.. no one cares about dd's tushy.. but I will probably cloth diaper 100% of the time... or not be such a diaper cheapskate.. which is why I chose cds in the first place...
Re: Diaper Allergy?!?
I was having a rash issue too, it seemed no matter what I did I could not get D's rash to go away. Then someone made a comment on our board about drinking acidic foods. I cut out OJ and ta da no more rash.
But really we do care about your girl's cute tushie... ok that sounds creepy.
...but because I know diaper rash can't be comfortable at all and it just.looks.bad.
I have no advice, but you also didn't ask for any... but I CARE.
Hope it gets better.
Just curious, as I don't CD at all, why do you use disposables 10percent of the time? Just during laundry or what?
Aw, thanks for all the tushy love.
And.. oj.. hmmm.. good thought on the acidic food.
Rach.. we used to use disposables whenever we were out for the day, and sometimes her ridiculously adorable outfits just fit better with sposies... and for when someone else watches her...so, here and there.
And because you CD most of the time, you need the most breathable diapers possible.
Either way, sorry you bebe has yucky business going on!
