Throwing my hands up - I think I'm done working

I am calling out sick tomorrow and am debating asking to be pulled out of work at Tuesday's appt. The thought of going in tomorrow makes me want to have a mental breakdown. I feel I can't do it anymore. The only thing that makes me happy lately is laying in bed or sitting on the couch.

  • Girl - you need to give yourself credit for going this far.  I know people with singleton's that stop working by now...let a lone twins.  I say its time to stop working and take it easy before the LO's arrive.  Treasure the "me" time while you still have it!!
  • You girls are making me feel a lot better about this decision. Thanks!

  • That is exactly when I stopped working.  The day I realized I just couldnt go in one more day.  I called out and then never went back.  I was 35 weeks also. However I then sat on the couch waiting to go into labor for the next 5 weeks.  Ultimately I was happy I wasnt working but there were days I wish I was just to get out of the house.

  • Like the others have said, you've done AWESOME to have gone this long. Time to reward yourself with some rest and relaxation as much as possible before they get here is what I think! Way to go mama, and get some rest! Yes

  • You are a rockstar!

I'm in the opposite position. I'm on bed rest and working from home until 32 weeks and thinking about going back to the office once I can until I deliver.  We shall see how that plan goes...

  • I agree do it!  Taking good care of yourself these last few weeks is crucial...and I can't believe you are so close!

  • I was on bedrest at 30 wks for a growth discordance and remember feeling that by 32 weeks, I don't think I could have worked if I wanted to (and was allowed)!!
