TMI...diarrhea

Last night around 9-10 pm, I had sporadic sharp cramps on my lower abdomen.

I usually wake up every half an hour to an hour to use the restroom, it's been like this since week 20 and I am on week 36. Last night, every time I rolled out of the bed, I felt like I was going to vomit, I felt like everything I had eaten throughout the day was in my throat but I never did vomit...

Cut to this morning, I have diarrhea. TMI..I know and sorry... but in the last 8 months, I've only been constipated and fighting with that so diarrhea is surprising. I didn't eat anything strange yesterday so I don't know...

I have my Dr. app tomorrow but I was just posting to see if anyone has experienced something similar? does it mean labor is near?

    Its supposed to be a sign labor is near but I had the same thing happen 2 weeks ago and I'm still pregnant. Run it by your dr. but I am sure you are fine. Just a joy of pregancy and squished bowels!

    Yea, I googled and read that diarrhea is a sign of labor being near but I am also reading people having it for weeks prior to labor.

    I guess it's my body's goal to hit every single pregnancy symptoms...

    thanks I'll see what the Dr says tomorrow..

    More likely that it is a stomach bug

    I had the same thing happen to me last night at the same time. Strange! My stomach was cramping so bad, Dh was ready to take me to the hospital. I sure hope it's not a sign of labor bc I'm not due until the end of March. Hope you feel better today, and drink lots of water.

    I hope so too.. as much as I would love to meet her, I really really hope she'd stay in there for another week or two...

    The internet is a curse though..the more I read on this the more I get concerned..like I just read that heartburn subsides, then diarrhea starts as a sign of labor. Or you'll have a burst of energy then extremely tired before labor...I'm reading all these and going, yes, that's me...that's totally it.. ugh. sorry for the vent, I am just so anxious right now.

    The Internet is a blessing and a curse.  Last week I had the same issue for four days but now back to constipation and no baby.

     I wouldn't be too worried but since you have a doctor appointment tomorrow I would let your Dr. know.  As long as your water hasn't broken, no bleeding and you feel the baby I bet everything is fine.

    I am 34 weeks tomorrow and about 2 days ago started with the same thing. I think it is more of a baby getting really low and mushing the bowels kind of thing. Around the same time I started with that LO started feeling so low like he is going to fall out. Please let us know what your dr thinks.

    I actually went to the hospital last week bc I was getting cramps every 15 min so my doc told me to come to the OB triage. They said my cervix still was far back and I hadnt dilated. I have still felt a little funny crampy and gassy with looser stools.

    I know the stomach bug has been.going crazy so im trying not to panic. I have my weekly appt on Tues so I will mention it to my doc also.
