Travel/pack-n-play sleep issue

My almost 8 month old has suddenly decided to not want to sleep in her pack n play when we are traveling.  We visit my parent's house about every other weekend and she has never had a problem sleeping in the pack-n-play at their house.  The last two times she wants nothing to do with it and we can not figure out why. We have tired a lot of different environmental changes but doesn't seem to help.  The only thing I can think of is that she usually sleeps on her side in her crib at the house and she has a hard time rolling onto her side in the pack-n-play.  

 Now we are planning to have her stay at my husband's parents house for a week while we take a short vacation.  We are worried that she will not sleep at their house.  Has anyone else ran into this problem and if so please tell me any tips you have.   Right now I am about to buy a crib to keep at my parent's house for her but that doesn't solve to problem of when we travel to other places.  

Also, I will add that our daughter has slept thru the night (from 8 pm to 8 am) since she was 2 months old.  So she does not have any problems with sleeping.

    I had a cheap one and when my older son got big enough it made a lot of creaking and rustling noise when he moved around. It would wake him and us up.

    Not much help here we had similar problems with DS. We ultimately had to let him cry some and figure it out. I'm assuming your using sheets from home and following the same routine from home? Dark room, white noise, etc...we also had our inlaws set up a crib instead of pack n play he was never a fan of that.

    We use a very soft, quilted pack-n-play sheet, and it seems to keep the p-n-p from rustling as much when he rolls over. It is an Eddie Bauer item, and I got it for about $10 from Target online.

    We put a thin blanket under the pack n play sheet that makes it a little softer surface and cuts down on the rustling noise.

    We had the same problem when we went to Florida. We asked the hotel for a crib and we got a pnp, which DS hadn't slept in for months. He would wake up crying after sleeping for an hour or so, so we finally had to put him in the bed with us. it was the only way any of us could get any sleep.

    Since we are flying I don't know that we will have the extra items at our disposal, so may just have one of us sleep in the bed with DS and the other sleep alone and actually get some sleep.
