Yeast Infection and Low-Laying Placenta?

Anyone else have this winning combination? I'm a little concerned because I'm not sure if the monistat is working (they told me to only put it on the external bits) and the red spotting has made a return.  I'm a little worried that there may be another infection or something.  I'm going to call the doctor's office first thing in the AM.

Re: Yeast Infection and Low-Laying Placenta?

  • I get them every time I'm pregnant. They are terrible. I don't know about a low lying plencenta, but my OB always had me use the internal and external medicine.

    Sorry you have one...

  • I have gotten yeast and BV both pregnancies.

    I haven't had a low-laying placenta, though.

  • I guess the catch of the low-lying placenta is that I cannot stick the monistat up there so I'm not sure as to whether it's actually clearing up up there or not:X
  • I don't know if you'll come back to see this or not, but, after you shower and wash with the most mild soap possible, blow dry your whoo haa totally dry. You'll want to do this for at least a week.

It sounds complete nuts. It works with diaper rash and other forms of yeast that are out of control.
