Turns out my "birdie" was...

I guess my great aunt Birdie was actually Roberta by given name! I always assumed Birdie was her given name.

So, while I don't love Roberta, I am crushing on Bernadette and dh isn't vetoing it, though he suggested Berta, really? Lol

Married on 3.20.2004. It took 30 month, 2 failed adoptions and IVF for our first miracle. We have had 9 foster kids since he was born and started the domestic adoption process when he was 10 month old, we had 4 failed matches in that time. After our daughter was born we brought her home and spent 2 weeks fearing we might lose her because of complications that came up. But Praise God all went through and she is ours forever!     My name is Robyn. My family used the NN Birdie for me quite a bit while I was growing up. I didn't really like it. LOL.

    I love Robyn, that would be cute.

    But I'm in love with Bernadette! It deserves a comeback! It's so lovely, I'd definitely use it.

    I like Bernadette. My SIL's cousin was named Bernadette and usually went by Bern.

    Jess & Adam, married 2009, precious Audrey born in 2011. BFP 1/6/13, 6-wk MMC discovered at 9 wks 2/11/13. D&C 2/18/13, second D&C 4/23/13 for retained placenta.
    BFP 8/24/13!! EDD 5/1/14, delivered healthy and sweet Zoey Leanne on 5/5/14 by repeat c-section.

    I like Bernadette as well! I think Birdie is a cute nn and also like Benny as a nn (which is what the character Bernadette in the book Circle of Friends goes by).

    I have a bad association with Bernadette. She was a big bully I went to high school with. It's not a bad name though. What about Bernadine?
