Is my baby sleeping too much??

I have a 10 week old baby girl whom I adore! Never thought I could love anything this much! I'm a new mom and not sure if she is sleeping too much during the day. She will wake up and be up for about an hour to an hour in a half at a time before falling back to sleep. Is this normal? Please help!

Totally normal!! And very healthy! That's great that she's able to fall back asleep so regularly! My LO is 7 1/2 months and still takes a nap every 1 1/2 to 2 hrs.

She's also a fantastic sleeper at night partly because we didn't disturb her sleep during the day. I am a believer that sleep begets sleep. She started fully STTN at 12 weeks.

My 10 week old is the same way! Only difference is that when I see his sleep signals I have to put him to sleep he rarely falls asleep on his own. Anyhow, I think it is a very healthy sleep pattern!

Enjoy it. My first never slept so this is new to me. I'm feeling pretty spoiled by how much this one sleeps.

Same here! My dd is 11 weeks and she is awake for an hour to an hour and a half before she needs a nap. I watch for her signals and try to calm down our activity and get her ready to nap. It's definitely a small window. I have noticed the difference when I push her to stay awake and she is becomes over tired. It's takes more of me to put her to sleep then.

I'm really glad to hear this! Thank you all so much! I was worried because I read somewhere they are supposed to be awake later in the afternoon for like 2.5-3 hours, but she is a bear if she goes longer than 1.5 hours!
