Anyone on progesterone? Side effects?

Hello!

I'm new here! I am 5 weeks today and the doctor last Wednesday put me on progesterone suppositories twice a day. Aside from the gross goo I am correlating getting very bloated about an hour after taking them, so uncomfortable I am unable to sleep. Anyone experiencing this?

Side note-I miscarried in August at 5 weeks 3 days and my progesterone was very low -2-then so that is why she is having me in it. So far my hcg is doubling and my progesterone is 21.

I was on at least one type of it until 13 weeks.

I was tired and I'm sure it added to my bloat.

I'm currently 5w2d pregnant after 2 m/c. Im on Crinone progesterone suppository and have been for 34 weeks now It's miserable! Makes you look 5 months pregnant from all the bloating, leaks constantly and makes you think your bleeding, sending you panicking over and over to the bathroom, makes your whole belly feel "full" so your uncomfortable esp sleeping and gives you cramping making your mind further freak out. Good luck!Whatever we have to do to hold a baby of our own someday right!?

Thank you for the responses! I'm glad it's not completely in my head . I have been trying to drink a lot of water to see if it helps or maybe get some ginger for tea today. It is for a good cause! Hopefully I can go down to atleast 1 a day in 5 weeks...fingers crossed

I am on 200mg twice a day. I don't really notice a ton of side effects. I might be a little more tired than usual, but that could also be the pregnancy.

I am on the suppositories at night only. I have sore boobs, am very bloated, am nauseated and exhausted. I have no idea if those are supplement side effects or just pregnancy related.

The suppositories made me go crazy. Like I was possessed and dh was afraid for his safety and I honestly did not blame him. The dr. switched me off of them and put me on the pio shots. On the shots I had really bad vomitting, which has stopped since he took me off of them.

I've been on prometrium 200mg 3x a day since Dec. 6th...I have 4 days to go until I can stop at week 12! (But whose counting....) I was cranky the first couple days, and early (weeks 5-9) I'd get menstrual-like cramps shortly after I put it in. I've kept lightest panty liners in business, but otherwise no major side effects. I think of it as baby's vitamins.

This for me too! What I don't understand is why they made them pink. Are they trying to give a pregnant woman who has suffered a miscarriage a heart attack? The first time I leaked pink I about lost it.
