Talk to me about Amazon Mom

Do you do it? How much is it? What do u buy and how much do u spend?

My dd is almost 3 months and I'm just about out of diapers from my shower so time to start buying them. And what about clothes or formula?!?

Do you do it? nope, but I did have a free trial a while back. How much is it? $79 a year I think. What do u buy and how much do u spend? I pretty much only buy diapers on amazon My dd is almost 3 months and I'm just about out of diapers from my shower so time to start buying them. And what about clothes or formula?!?

I wouldnt' buy clothes on amazon, but formula, you could get some good deals. I think you'd do better if you used formula checks and coupons to buy formula at a store though.

You could also make a good dent on diapers if you joined swagbucks - use it to get amazon gift cards and put those towards diapers too. If you want more info about it, PM me. I typically get $20 a month in amazon cards and use it all to go to diapers and other baby stuff.

  • For diapers, I find that both Target and BRU will often have promotions where if you buy a certain amount of diapers, you get gift cards, which you can then use for diapers again later. For example, in one week, I got $25 in gift cards to BRU for buying two cases of diapers and one case of wipes, and then another $20 in gift cards to Target for buying two cases of diapers.

Also, Target seems to have the cheapest formula I have found -- combine that with formula checks, and it's not too bad -- like $18 per Similac carton.

  • diapers.com is my preference when doing diaper subscriptions online because they are slightly cheaper, and they also sell so many other things i use. I am right now buying as I need because they grow so fast at this age, but with my 2 year old I just got a pack of 258 every two months.

  • Amazon mom used to be awesome, you got 30% off diapers but then they changed it and now you have to be an Amazon prime member to get any discount.  I bought a prime membership because I buy a bunch of stuff from Amazon but if I was only buying diapers it might not be worth it.

I buy all my diapers from Amazon through a subscription so they are automatically delivered on the schedule I set.  To save some money, I buy Luvs.  I have found they work just as well as the more expensive brands but better than say the Target brand.  I also buy wipes from Amazon.  Other things I have subscriptions to include things like coffee pods and baby Mum-Mums which my toddler eats like crazy.

I don't buy formula from amazon because I buy the Target brand.  It's so much cheaper than the name brands and it's made the same.

Like someone else said, I also do Swagbucks and earn at least $20 in Amazon gift cards every month so I use that to help buy diapers, along with using my credit card reward points which for many credit cards you can link right to your Amazon account and use them as cash.  If I don't have any kind of credits available then I use my Amazon credit card to make my Amazon purchases and I earn bonus points  that I can then use on my next purchase.

For the most part, I don't buy clothes, but have found some nice clothing deals for my older daughter in the past.  I don't think Amazon mom really gives you cheaper prices on the clothes except maybe once in a while when they email you a special code.

Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck.  Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.

  • I already maintain an amazon prime membership for reasons other than baby - but we buy most of our diapers through amazon. I also buy my favorite diaper cream through amazon (not amazon mom), because none of my local stores carry it.

  • I have been an amazon prime member for quite some time and do most of my household shopping with them.  When I became a mom I began investigating the prices and found that if you buy swaddlers through amazon and setup the 'Subscribe and Save' a box of 244 ends up being about $37 which is better than I have found any where else.  My co-worker was buying a comparable size box of costco diapers and we found that Amazon was actually cheaper.
