Lower carb breakfast ideas?

Mobile: Lower carb breakfast ideas.

My MW told me that if I wanted to slow down my weight gain I should cut down my carbs a little. No specific number, just make better choices.

All i can think of is eggs and meat. I will still eat some friut, because it is important. I could have a slice of toast and still do fine. I feel like im missing something i could be eating...

  • Whole weat toast with some peanut butter? Plain Greek yogurt with a little bit of fresh fruit? Eggs with a little bit of cheese? I snack on nuts throughout the morning, also.

  • I've heard that we should eat breakfast like at king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper. Maybe consider dinner as the meal that you cut the carbs from. You need the energy in the morning to get through the day.

Good luck with getting back to pre-pregnancy wt. It will happen!

  • I like having eggs and Greek yogurt (sequentially, not together!) for a high-protein, lower carb breakfast. Add a glass of milk and you've really got it going on.

  • I make smoothies with whey protein, greek yogurt, frozen berries and a banana.  I like to mix it up with my fruit choices.  A couple of other ideas are: an apple cut up with peanut butter or cottage cheese with your favorite fruit.
