I'm totally being an AW, but if anyone can appreciate how well my boys and I are doing, it's the ladies on this board. I never thought I'd get this far in my pregnancy and still be doing this well. I also hope other MoMs expecting triplets can see that it's not all doom and gloom, as I had prepared for ![]()
We had a long, long day at the doctors' office yesterday, but all is well. Our morning NST showed that the boys are doing great! Although it also showed I was having contractions every 7 minutes. I've been dealing with them for about 3wks now, but they've never been consistent as they were yesterday.
Next was our monthly growth scan. At 33w1d, the boys are estimated to weigh as follows:
Cooper (ID twin) - 4lbs 13oz
Lincoln (ID twin) - 4lbs 11oz
Finn (frat trip) - 5lbs 13oz
We were shocked to see that all were close to or over 5 lbs. Our goal was to try and get them to 4lbs. Just one less hurdle to cross if they're born earlier than hoped for.
Due to the contractions, I was sent to Triage to be monitored. I was hoping they'd just do a quick cervical check, but as usual, I was stuck there for about 2hrs being hooked up to monitors, having an fFN, and 2 cervical checks. It sucked! Luckily, my cervix is a steel trap and refuses to budge (for now). Still measuring around 5 and closed. I couldn't be happier.

My blog * We made the national news!
I don't think there's anything anyone can do to prevent preterm labor, unfortunately. I've already seen many triplet moms to be deliver before 28wks and they were on bedrest (I am not) from early on as a preventative. The only thing I feel like I've been able to contribute to is the weights. I've made sure to eat as much as I can, making sure to get as much protein as possible and full fat dairy. And even though I'm not on bedrest, I've listened to my body. My DH has been doing all housework/errands/meals since the 2nd Tri because I physically cannot do much. I get out when I can, just because I can't stand being stuck in the house (and I also go into the office a couple days per week still), but if I'm home I'm either lying in bed or in the recliner.
I'd try not to worry if I were you. I know, easier said than done. But worrying isn't going to change the situation, so try to enjoy each day as it comes.

Unexplained Infertility
After two Clomid cycles, three injectable IUI cycles, two IVFs, two miscarriages, and one lap surgery, IVF #2 has brought us our little boy!
TTC #2
After months of being postponed or cancelled, FET #1.3 (Natural FET) brought us twin girls!
They originally said 37wks, but I don't think they thought I'd get this far. I was told they had a big discussion about me this week to decide if they felt comfortable letting me go that long or moving up the c-section. My guess is that they'll schedule it between 35-36wks. They've said they aren't sure that letting me go to 37wks outweighs the risks if the placentas start to deteriorate. I'm fine going to 35, but will argue against anything earlier than that if I get that far and babies are still looking good. I really want to do as much as I can to have takehome babies.
